Since 2015 we have surveyed, protected and restored the reefs, mangroves and beaches of southern Negros Oriental. Your donation keeps our divers in the water and our teams in the field.

What your donation pays for
Donations go into our operating fund, the money that keeps the vehicles fuelled, the dive gear working and the team paid. This is the work it keeps going.

Reef research
Our scientific divers survey the reefs around 2,000 times a year. The data shows how the reefs and marine protected areas are doing, and helps local governments manage them.

Mangroves
We replant mangroves in old fish ponds and on coastline that was cleared in the past, and raise the seedlings in our own nurseries. 31,000 trees are in the ground so far.

Clean coasts
Fifteen former fishermen keep rivers and beaches clean as their full-time, paid job. They collect around 100 tonnes of litter a year, and about 40% of it, by weight, is recycled.

Children and schools
Every year we run summer camps for local children, with materials, activities, food and lodging all covered. Our two full-time teachers also take environmental lessons into local schools.

What we have done since 2015
We hold a permanent seat on the Protected Area Management Board for Apo Island, and work with ENRD, DENR and the local governments of southern Negros Oriental.
An external certified public accountant audits our accounts, and we publish how the money is spent.
