Free Marine Conservation Resources

Everything here comes from our work on the reefs of Negros Oriental, and it is all free to use.

Some of it we made for our own volunteers, like the survey manuals our divers train with. We created the rest to share: teaching modules for schools, open reef survey data, and reports and papers published by our staff and interns. Whether you’re planning a lesson, digging into reef data or organising a clean-up, you’re welcome to all of it.

    20 free modules with lesson plans, slides, activities and games, on topics including coral reefs, sharks, plankton, typhoons and careers in ocean science.

    Reef data from our long-term monitoring in Negros Oriental, where we now run about 2,000 surveys a year. Explore the results in our data portal, or ask us for raw survey exports for your own research.

Please credit Marine Conservation Philippines and any named authors when you use our materials in research, teaching, publications or other projects. We recommend APA 7, or any citation style that includes the URL of the material you used.

Raw survey data is shared on request, once you have signed our data sharing agreement (PDF).
