Fishing kills around 80 million sharks a year, while sharks killed nine people in the whole world in 2025. These three lessons swap fear for facts: how sharks sense their world, why reefs need them, and what people in the Philippines are doing to protect them.

Lesson 2: Sharks on the reef
A web of life game with a ball of string, the true story of tiger sharks and seagrass in Shark Bay, and a which-shark-or-ray-are-you quiz.

Lesson 3: Sharks and people
Groups research six true stories, from the fin trade to whale shark tourism in Oslob and Donsol and the Monad Shoal sanctuary, then debate what should happen.

Bring your students to the reef
We host school groups at our base in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental, for diving or snorkelling, beach clean-ups and tree planting alongside our conservation team. Every visit follows our child protection policy.
