About the Archive

For decades, Coral Cay Conservation volunteers and scientists surveyed reefs, forests and coastlines, and turned that fieldwork into reports for local governments, protected area managers and partner organisations.

Many of the Philippine reports were written to help barangays and municipalities decide where to establish marine protected areas, and to measure whether existing ones were working.

The reports appear here as they were originally published, so species names, methods and recommendations reflect the time they were written. The archive is still growing, and more reports from CCC's records are being catalogued and added.
